Just day one, ... well, not really!

Next March it will be two years since I found out I was celiac. I think I will never forget about that day, because it was my birthday. I perfectly remember  the conversation with the doctor, he call me around a week after a blood test, March 8th, he looked kind of happy because after several week running test on me it looks like they found the reason about my problems, and it look like it was not anything really dangerous.

"You don't need any medication or any kind of treatment, you just have to keep a diet without gluten and you should be good to go!. Nice as easy!" Well, then I found out it was not as nice and least as easy!.

Two years later I keep without finding it nice and easy, but I think I am getting use to it. I read a lot about the illness, about the diet, about everything. First weeks were quite hard. It was a real change in my life, but the destiny made me found the someone special in my life, and that really was what make my life change, she made everything easier, and I have to say that she has been sharing the diet with me, even though she should not, I will never forget that! I love you honey!

But destiny played in that way. In any case, I have to say that living without gluten has made me find a lot of different ways to enjoy different foods. I think there are a lot of ingredients I really didn't have any idea about them, that I have discovered with my new diet, and I really enjoy them. It is always an adventure trying to find new places with gluten free menus, and my eyes always shine when I find a gluten free beer in a restaurant!

What is the purpose of this blog? I just want to share my experience with the gluten free diet, some recipes, a lot of places around where I live in the North Bay Area and always thinking all this is just something that will make me better and will make me enjoy life and the world in a different but amazing way.

By the way, I mainly want to apologize about my grammar, I am not native from an English country, so I am really sorry about that, but I want to share all this with the people where I live, and I know this is the best way.

Ciao.
